Tree inspectors who normally take a
paper based form can now use a PDA to record their details. The system
is offline and not dependant on GPRS signal, this is useful as some
trees are in remote locations.
The back office tree database is
uploaded automatically on return, which saves considerable time and
costs, and allows the inspectors to spend more time inspecting and less
time in the office updating – meeting Gershon efficiency savings.
