ACL have put together a number of products to create a toolkit for e-commerce suitable for Local Government, NHS and the Private Sector. For a new approach to the electronic world this tool kit can be supplied complete or as separate items comprising :-

• The Mandoforms solution provides a complete out-of-the-box data capture and processing system, including:
  • Forms development and testing
  • A Server capable of complex data processing of the form data
• Mandoforms are replacement for HTML forms
• Mandoforms are individually tailored to the user's needs
• Each Mandoform may be deployed to both Java enabled and non-Java enabled browsers
• Mandoforms work equally well across the Internet, intranets or extranets.
• Mandoforms use standard HTTP for trouble-free communication over the Internet and company intranets.
• Printouts of the form can be provided with little effort.
• Mandoforms can operate with standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) security or Mandoforms own high-security option.

Mandoforms offers the following products:

• Developer Kit, comprising a Builder Tool to create forms and a Test Server to serve them and process the data captured. The Developer Kit contains everything you need to develop and test Mandoforms. The Builder Tool and Test Server are conveniently situated on the same PC so that you can develop and test your forms before transferring them to a staging server or a live server.
• Enterprise Server, for additional flexibility. The Enterprise Server extends the Professional Server by supporting additional delivery channels to non-Java enabled browsers such as found on PDAs, interactive TV and mobile phones.
• Server extensions for security, database access and postcode lookups. Server extensions increase the functionality of the Mandoforms Professional and Enterprise Servers without requiring any programming by the developer.

In addition, Mandoforms provides a shareware version of Developer Kit free of charge.

Mandoforms Security Option

This option allows you to encrypt data sent between Mandoforms and the Mandoforms Server and can operate much faster than using SSL. High strength 1024/168-bit encryption is used, so that you can be confident that it meets the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998.

Mandoforms Database Plugin Pack (Now part of the Enterprise Server)

The Database Plugin Pack contains a number of server plugins, which allow Mandoforms to store and retrieve data in a database. The plugins are designed to work with any database that supports either JDBC or ODBC. For example, they are compatible with the following commonly used databases:

• DB2
• Sybase
• Microsoft Access
• Microsoft SQL Server
