ACL Services-a new approach

Mortgage Administration Bureau Services, MABS

At present we have in the region of 85 Local Authorities operating ACL's Housing Advances system and this figure is rapidly expanding all the time due to our package being of high quality and good value.

We have now introduced ACL's Mortgage Administration Bureau Service, MABS. This service will be operated from our offices in The Old Mill here at Bridgend.

With this cost effective service we will perform the following tasks:

Summary of services provided

• Perform complete administration currently run by the Authority, including data take-on.
• Local telephone calls charges day to day for enquiries, redemption quotes.
• Monthly reports sent to Authority - Cash, Balancing, MIRAS, Insurance etc.
• Period end and Annual reports sent to Authority.
• Calculation of new installments when rate changes.
• Arrears letters by choice of frequency, Interest change letters.
• Statements sent out automatically.
• Redemption Quotation.
• Weekly cash file.
• Manual Cash, refunds adjustments etc.
• Optional feature - data to be sent via disc, with monthly reports, allowing the Authority to have on line enquiries on a local PC,
using the ACL Mortgage System.
• Annual Accounts prepared.
• Short Term contract if required.
• Option to return administration back to Authority using the ACL Mortgage System.

TO GO WITH ACL ON MABS

1. Implementation meeting on site to discuss and specify the mortgage administration. The way the Authority runs Mortgages
currently e.g. interest on arrears, capitalisation of credits, mortgage types etc. Recovery procedure reports and letters.
2. Full data take-on either manually or from file import.
3. Balancing of financial data prior to commencement of service.
4. Testing of interfaces - cash file, direct debits.
5. Progressing recovery via agreed arrears letters etc.
6. Providing monthly and period end reports to the Authority.
